Seminars and Training Sessions on Construction and Reconstruction and Overhaul of Water Facilities
The problem:
In Uzbekistan, the construction and reconstruction of water facilities are critical for ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of water resource management. However, there was a notable deficiency in the essential skills and knowledge required by water sector professionals and contractors to effectively manage and execute these projects. Challenges included a lack of up-to-date knowledge on modern construction practices, insufficient understanding of labor legislation, and gaps in quality control and project management. Furthermore, there was a need to improve familiarity with modern construction materials and techniques, effective budgeting, and public procurement procedures. This skills gap impeded the successful completion and management of water facility projects, potentially affecting the long-term sustainability and operational efficiency of water resources.
The solution:
InfoCapital Group LLC (ICG) organized and conducted a series of seminars and training sessions tailored to the specific needs of the water sector and construction professionals. These sessions covered a comprehensive range of topics critical to improving project outcomes and sustainability.
ICG provided hands-on training with up-to-date construction equipment, ensuring that delegates could gain practical experience. Training covered various aspects including labor legislation, quality control, modern construction materials, and equipment usage. Additionally, courses were designed to improve management skills, including decision-making, budgeting, and economic relations in capital construction. The training also addressed labor relations, business planning, and procedures for public procurement and commissioning of completed facilities.
Seminars included demonstrations of modern techniques and practical sessions that were either held at ICG’s training facilities or on customer premises if suitable. By equipping participants with the latest knowledge and skills, ICG aimed to enhance their ability to manage and execute water facility projects more effectively, ensuring better sustainability and operational success.
